COREGPT_EXTRACT Custom Function

Use the COREGPT_EXTRACT function to extract specific information from a longer piece of text using AI — directly inside your Excel or Google Sheets cell.

Function Syntax

=COREGPT_EXTRACT(source, value)

Parameters

  • source: Required. The full text or range of cells that contains the content you want to extract from.
  • value: Required. The item or keyword you want to extract from the source text (e.g. "email address", "date","total amount").

Returns

A single extracted value or phrase, based on your request.

Examples

=COREGPT_EXTRACT("The invoice total is $129.99 due on July 5", "total")

Returns $129.99 extracted from the sentence.

=COREGPT_EXTRACT(A1, B1)

Extracts the value described in B1 from the full text in A1.
