COREGPT_CLASSIFY Custom Function

Use the COREGPT_CLASSIFY function to categorize text into your custom-defined categories using AI — right from your Excel or Google Sheets cell.

Function Syntax

=COREGPT_CLASSIFY(source, categories)

Parameters

  • source: Required. The text or cell range to classify.
  • categories: Required. A comma-separated list of possible categories (e.g. "Finance, Marketing, HR").

Returns

The most relevant category from the list based on the input text.

Examples

=COREGPT_CLASSIFY("Our Q2 earnings beat expectations", "Finance, HR, Legal")

Returns "Finance" based on the input text.

=COREGPT_CLASSIFY(A1, B1)

Classifies the content of A1 using the category list in B1.

Tips

  • Make sure your categories are distinct and clearly defined.
